Welcome to the website of Ottawa's longest operating radio control (RC) flying club. We have been enjoying the hobby since 1956 and are located on an excellent flying field at 1600 Bankfield Road in the south of Ottawa.
The majority of flying at our airfield is with electric and gas powered RC aircraft of all sizes, up to and including giant scale. Members also fly EDF jets, helicopters, gliders and drones. If it's RC and it flies, some of our club members likely have flown one.
We actively teach new pilots to fly aircraft, helicopter and drones, generally from May through October of each year. Training for club members is free and we a number of experienced instructors.
ORCC members fly outdoors year around, on wheels in summer and on skis or floats in the winter. Every season provides plenty of flying opportunities. Our landlord operates an indoor RC arena that adjoins our airfield. Electrosport RC focuses on indoor RC car and truck racing, but also generously provides access to the arena for indoor flying of small models by ORCC members.
The Ottawa Remote Control Club is a member of the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) and our flying field is MAAC sanctioned. Together we promote safe and enjoyable RC flying for Canadians.
Come and experience the excitement of RC flying with us. Join now.

WE ARE BACK FLYING, WITH LIMITATIONS
Maintain at least two meters social distancing at the field, and wear a mask if you must get closer than that. Do not come out if you are not feeling at all unwell.
Keep yourself and everyone else safe.
Park at the north end of the big barn, in the main parking lot, and walk your gear down. We are working on creating improved access, but you will have to accept the extra exercise for now.
You remain responsible for respecting health regulations. They change ofen, so please stay vigilant.
Please come out to fly and to help with odd jobs.
